Presidents’ Meeting in Florence in August 2018
From Friday, 24 to Sunday 26 August the presidents and delegates of the national federations met in Florence for their annual meeting. After a market of information on Friday evening, where every federation presented ist activities, an extraordinary General Assembly elected our new almoner, Ks. Wiesław Hudek from Zory, Poland as new ecclesiastical assistant of the international federation on Saturday morning. During this meeting, some points of the internal regulations and of the financial regulations were modified. The rest of the morning was dedicated to discussions in teams about the future work and tenders the FIPC could offer to the national federations.
On Saturday noon, Maestro Michele Manganelli, director of the music department of the Cathedral S. Maria dei Fiori, showed us the five organs of the Duomo. In the afternoon we reviewed the congress in Barcelona and planned the next congress in Florence 2020.
On Sunday morning we visited several locations of the congress in Florence.

Réunion des présidents à Florence en août 2018
Du vendredi, 24 au dimanche 26 août les présidents et délégués des fédérations nationales se son réunis pour leur rencontre annuelle à Florence en Italie. Après un marché d’informations le vendredi soir où chaque fédération présentait ses activités, samedi matin on s’est réuni en assemblée générale extraordinaire pour l’élection du nouveau assistant ecclésiastique de la FIPC, Ks. Wiesław Hudek de Zory, Pologne, et pour modifier quelques points du règlement d’ordre intérieur et du règlement économique. Le reste du matin était rempli par des discussions en groupes sur divers points comment la FIPC pourrait améliorer ses activités au service des fédérations nationales.
Samedi midi, le maître de chapelle de la Cathédrale S. Maria dei Fiori di Firenze nous a montré les cinq orgues du Dome.
Dans l’après-midi on a fait passer revue le congrès de Barcelone et a discuté les détails du prochain congrès international en 2020 à Florence.
Dimanche matin, on a visité quelques églises et places où les manifestations du congrès à Florence pourront avoir lieu.

J'ai toujours aimé la musique ... Je suis un prêtre heureux depuis 24 ans ...
Et maintenant, je remercie Dieu de pouvoir servir les enfants et les jeunes appartenant à la grande famille des Pueri Cantores.
Lorsque, en septembre 2017, notre président Jean Henric m'a demandé d'assumer le rôle d'assistant écclesiastique de la FIPC, j'ai commencé à prier pour chacune des fédérations nationales, pour toutes les chorales, et finalement pour chacun d'entre vous. Je me souviens de vous et je vous bénis.

And now, I thank God because I can serve the children and young people who belong to the big family of Pueri Cantores.
When our president, Mr Jean Henric, asked me in September 2017 to accept the task of the ecclesiastical assistant of the FIPC, I started praying for every national federation, for all the choirs and naturally for everyone of you. I think of you and I bless you.

Réunion du bureau à Rome en octobre 2018

|
Le dernier weekend en octobre, le bureau de la FIPC et le nouvel assistant ecclésiastique, Ks. Wiesław Hudek se sont réunis à Rome pour présenter l’aumônier au Dicastère pour les laïcs, la famille et la vie (dont nous dépendons juridiquement) et pour installer les premiers contacts pour l’organisation du congrès international à Rome 2021/22. Et puis, nous avons travaillé sur divers points pour organiser la FIPC de sorte qu’elle puisse rendre de meilleurs services aux fédérations nationales: finances, congrès, résultats du questionnaire, communication….

During the last weekend of October the Bureau and the new almoner of the FIPC met in Rome to present Ks. Wiesław Hudek to the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life (on which we depend juridically) and to install the first contacts for the organisation of the congress in Rome 2021/22. Then, we worked on several points to form the FIPC in a form that the services to the national federations can be improved: finances, congresses, results of the survey, communication …

After the general meeting in August our website was enlarged with the internal sections (Tab Media). In the section for the presidents there will be published the documents regarding the FIPC and other national federations, in the section for the choirmasters some scores for children's choirs are already available, and there will be many more in the next time. Our Committee for Music will select the choice to be published.
The passwords for the access of the presidents’ and the choirmasters’ sections have been communicated to all the presidents and secretaries of the federations and to the correspondents. They may be requested at the secretary of the FIPC too.

Après l’assemblée générale en août, notre site web a été élargi par des sections internes (Tab Media).
Dans la section pour les présidents il y aura beaucoup d'informations sur les fédérations nationales et la FIPC, dans la section pour les directeurs il y a déjà quelques partitions, et il y en aura d'avantage très bientôt. Notre commission de musique choisira les pièces à publier.
Les mots d’accès pour les sections pour les présidents et les directeurs des choeurs ont été distribués aux fédérations et aux correspondants. Ils peuvent être demandés aussi auprès du secrétaire de la FIPC.

Choirs’ meeting in Switzerland in Lugano
On November 3rd/4th, 2018, the choirs of the Swiss federation were invited to meet in Lugano for a national meeting. Three of the nine choirs enjoyed a weekend full of music and encounter:
On Saturday afternoon there was a rehearsal for the pontifical office on Sunday. On Saturday evening the concert in the Cathedral of Lugano attracted a large audience. For the peace all over the world the two choirs of Lucerne sang the 'Da pacem Domine' by Arvo Pärt, the Scuola Corale della Cattedrale di Lugano the 'Da pacem Domine' by Charles Gounod.
On Sunday morning, the bishop of Lugano celebrated the mass in honour of the patron of the Canton Ticino, S. Carlo Borromeo. The mass was broadcast directly by the Radio RSI 2. The choirs sung the Missa Brevis in G by W.A Mozart, KV 140 and several motets.
Between the musical events there was a lot of time to visit the city of Lugano, to have meals together and to play on the playground of the Oratorio di Lugano.
Congrès de choeurs de la fédération Suisse à Lugano
Le weekend du 3 et 4 novembre les choeurs des Pueri Cantores Suisses étaient invités à participer au congrès national à Lugano. Trois des neuf choeurs se sont réjouis d'un weekend plein de musique et de rencontres.
Samedi après-midi on a répété la messe de dimanche, samedi soir le concert dans la cathédrale a attiré beaucoup de public. Comme prière pour la paix dans tout le monde les choeurs de la Luzerner Kantorei chantaient le 'Da pacem Domine' de Arvo Pärt, et la Scuola Corale della Cattedrale di Lugano le 'Da pacem Domine' de Charles Gounod.
Dimanche matin l’évêque de Lugano a célébré la messe en honneur du patron du canton du Ticino, S. Carlo Borromeo. La messe a été transmise en direct par la radio RSI 2. On a chanté la Missa brevis in G de W.A. Mozart, KV 140 et plusieurs motets.
Pendant le temps entre les manifestations musicales il y avait assez de temps pour visiter la ville de Lugano, de manger ensemble et de jouer au foot dans la cour de l'Oratorio di Lugano.

New president of the federation of Catalonia

|
|
The national federation of Catalonia had a General Assembly with elections in October 2018. Mr. Bernat Cabré, president since 2010 retired after the beautiful congress in Barcelona. New president is Mrs Ester Lara Pérez, She was secretary until now. A heartly thank you to Bernat Cabré for all his work for the little singers, and a equally heartly welcome to Ester Lara in the family of the presidents!
La fédération Catalane a une nouvelle présidente!
En octobre 2018, l'assemblée générale de la fédération Catalane a élu une nouvelle présidente. M. Bernat Cabré, président depuis 2010, s'était retiré après le congrès formidable de Barcelone. Mme Ester Lara Pérez qui jusque maintenant était secrétaire de la fédération a été élue nouvelle présidente. Nous remercions de tout coeur M. Bernat Cabré pour tout son travail au service des petits chanteurs et nous souhaitons la bienvenue cordiale à Mme Ester Lara dans notre famille des présidents,

Les Pueri Cantores chantent la paix

|
A l’occasion des commémorations du centenaire de la fin de la première guerre mondiale, 22 chœurs Pueri Cantores de France ont participé au projet Artisan de Paix porté par la Fédération française. Au total, ce sont six concerts qui ont été donnés entre le 4 et le 11 novembre et qui ont rassemblé plusieurs centaines de choristes. Chacun avait son programme mais deux ou trois pièces ont été communes à tous les chœurs.
Ce projet très fédérateur a permis de rappeler à tous que les Pueri Cantores doivent être des missionnaires de la paix. Dans d'autres pays aussi (p.e. en Allemagne) il y avait des concerts pour la paix, initié par la FIPC. (Photo: Le concert à Strasbourg)
The Pueri Cantores sing for Peace
Remembering the centenary of the end of the first world war, 22 choirs of the French Federation of Pueri Cantores participated in the project 'Artisans de paix' that was organized by the French Federation. Six concerts were performed between 4th and 11th November. Several hunderds of choristers were active. Each concert had its own programme, but two or three pieces were sung in every concert.
This very unifying project reminded everybody that Pueri Cantores must be missionaries of peace. In other countries too (f.i. in Germany) there were concerts for peace, initiated by the FIPC. (Picture: Concert in Strasbourg)
