In France a Pueri Cantores National Choir has started. The Choeur national de Pueri Cantores France is composed of 40 young people aged 10 to 17, selected through auditions from among the 80 choirs of the Pueri Cantores France Federation. The young singers came together from all over France to rehearse for a week, give a concert and spent time with each other. The choir is led by Frédéric Pinau, who prepared the young singers not only to sing beautifully, but also to move in choreographies. The choir gave its first concert in August at Salle Gaveau in Paris in the presence of about 800 people in the audience with a stunning performance of a unique and varied program combining sacred and secular works, popular and classical, ranging from Francis Poulenc to Isabelle Aboulker, from Julien Joubert to Pablo Casals. The concert was opened by the Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois, the founding choir of Pueri Cantores.
