“Quand le soleil – Wenn Die Sonne”
Between the grandeur of the Austrian mountains and the beauty of historic monuments and cities, the 2026 concert tour of the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal from Montréal, Canada, provided the 45 young choristers, aged 11–12 and 16–17, with an extraordinary cultural experience as they stayed with four host families of Austrian, German, and Swiss choirs.
The group performed joint concerts with host choirs on eight occasions in Telfs (Austria), in Biberach, Munich, and Reutlingen (Germany), as well as in Zurich (Switzerland). The singers even had the privilege of performing at an altitude of 2000 meters (6,500 feet) at the summit of the Nordkette mountains in Innsbruck, Austria! One could say that the sun – the theme of the tour’s musical program – wasn’t just sung about… they almost touched it!
