The Petits Chanteurs de la Maîtrise du Cap, from Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada, had an unforgettable adventure during their tour of Portugal from June 23 to July 5, 2026.
Their trip got off to a great start with a three-day stop in the splendid city of Porto. They then headed to Mortágua, where they shared the stage with the Sílvia Marques Children’s Choir. The two days spent with them were marked by an exceptionally warm welcome, characterized by friendliness, generosity, and musical collaboration.
After bidding farewell to their remarkable hosts, the young singers traveled to Fátima to perform during a Mass in the heart of its impressive basilica. The next day, the choir headed south toward the landscapes of the Algarve. After settling in Silves for two days, they took the opportunity to visit Albufera, watch dolphins on a boat cruise, and explore spectacular sea caves. The tour concluded in Palmela, less than an hour from Lisbon. From there, the choir traveled throughout the region, giving two memorable concerts in Cascais and Setúbal.
With their minds and hearts filled with precious memories, fascinating discoveries, and enriching musical exchanges, they returned to Canada on July 5. They will all cherish unforgettable memories of this magnificent country and the warm welcome they received from its people.
