Our Pueri Cantores choirs in Africa are among the most numerous members of our international children’s and youth choir federation. At the same time, visa regulations make it almost impossible for them to participate in our international congresses. In addition, war-like circumstances, particularly in the border region of eastern Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi, hinder normal choir work.
We are therefore calling for partnerships with these choirs in order to integrate them more closely into our Pueri Cantores community. This refers to informal exchanges between two choirs, which can best take place via social media (the preferred means of communication in Africa). In this context, the activities, favorite hobbies, and also the music that is sung are certainly of interest.
In order to be able to match partners more appropriately through our “Work Group Africa”, we have attached a form that gives an impression of the life of the choirs that are interested in such an exchange.
I would be very happy if numerous choirs would take up this new project and thus strengthen the communion of our Pueri Cantores in a new way.
